On Sunday, Dec. 24 around 9:30 a.m., 80-year-old Anne Page was found dead after an "exhaustive search" in Tolland County, state police announced.

Page had been missing from the Village Hill Road area in Willington since Thursday night, Dec. 21. Authorities had employed police K9 units, drones, and air support teams during the search for her.

More details about Page's death and where she was found were not released.

In their announcement of Page's death, state police thanked community members who took the time to help with the search effort. They also detailed their new “Bring Me Back Home” registry that allows authorities to access information that helps them find those who are missing or wandering.

"This new registry is for members of the community whose cognitive challenges may lead to confusion and disorientation, and who are at risk of wandering or getting lost," police said, adding, "Information submitted to the registry is confidential and can only be accessed by law enforcement personnel to aid in locating people reported missing or wandering."
